MetroLink Tulsa’s mission is to connect people to progress and prosperity.

MetroLink Tulsa serves thousands of riders every day connecting people to work, school, medical appointments, and everything that makes Tulsa home. We are committed to providing safe, reliable, and accessible transit for every member of our community.

Our Story

From the Start

1968

The Metropolitan Tulsa Transit Authority (MetroLink Tulsa) was formed by the city of Tulsa. MetroLink Tulsa, formerly Tulsa Transit, was set up as a public trust to continue the operations of the private bus service that had been run by the Missouri, Kansas & Oklahoma bus company (MK&O Lines).

1998

MetroLink Tulsa opened the Denver Avenue Station located at 4th and Denver in downtown Tulsa.

2001

The Memorial Midtown Station was opened at 33rd & Memorial to facilitate better cross-town passenger movement.

2019

The citizens of Tulsa approved Vision Tulsa, a multi-project continuation of an existing sales tax. Among the many projects funded by Vision Tulsa are Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line on Peoria. This BRT is called our AERO & a second BRT line along 11th Street is currently in development.

2023

MetroLink Tulsa kicked off a Comprehensive Operating Analysis plan which led to the launch of a new service type to the state called Micro Transit. Now known as MicroLink, this service offers on-demand type of vehicle request and operates within designated zones around the city of Tulsa and Broken Arrow to connect riders to fixed route service or take them to their destination within the zone.

Today

Today MetroLink Tulsa serves the greater Tulsa area including Jenks, Sand Springs, and Broken Arrow through three service types: fixed route, MicroLink on-demand, and LinkAssist paratransit. Governed by a Board of Trustees, MetroLink continues to grow its network and invest in the future of public transit in Tulsa.
